Mission Statement:
1) Education
-Planet Verde believes that equal access to a quality education is an undeniable right for all people regardless of race, religion, or class. Access to a quality education is a major factor contributing to economic stability, health and human rights. Therefore, it is our mission to give back by providing access to technology for education to the populations and communities that use our products and services. We believe that by providing communities with technology for education, we create customers who are loyal and committed to our efforts. By providing technology to these rural populations, we essentially invest in new markets for our products and services.
2) Community
-It is our intent to strengthen the communities that we interact with. Therefore, we involve community leaders, parents, and teachers in the process so that they can run their program long into the future. It is our goal to give underprivileged communities access to the internet, and also to empower them to create future economic and educational opportunities for themselves. Communities with access to technology and the internet also have access to modern conveniences and benefits.
3) Communication
- It is our goal to break down barriers to communication. Citizens of the world, now more than ever, have the ability to communicate with one-another, for business, leisure, and even to stay in touch with family members in other countries. We believe that access to communication between people in different countries holds the ability to foster a global community. Furthermore, most of the customers of New World Brands are first generation immigrants from Latin America who live in the United States. Through providing rural communities in Latin America with technology, we enable more methods of communication between our customers, and their families. This in turn, promises New World Brands with a more loyal customer following, and a more extensive reach into the global market.
4 ) Environment
-Planet Verde is a committed steward of the environment. In order to preserve our natural environment and protect it from continued pollution and degradation, we use refurbished and used computers whenever possible.
